ICED Protein coffee

serve warm, ICED, or with TOPPED cold foam

INGREDIENTS:

2 Shots of organic fair trade coffee
1 Tbsp Whey protein powder – option to use vanilla or chocolate flavours
1 Tbsp Grass-fed Collagen peptides
1 Tbsp Powdered Nutiva MCT oil with acacia fibre (OPTIONAL for extra healthy fats and prebiotic fibre)
1 Cup Milk of choice – I prefer full-fat coconut milk or almond milk

Directions for iced protein coffee:

  1. Make a double shot of your favourite organic espresso

  2. Put 1 Cup of COLD milk into a glass with the rest of the powdered ingredients ( DO NOT use warm milk, protein will clump together)

  3. Whisk with an electric milk frother until blended well.

  4. If making cold foam, whisk on high for an additional 30-60 seconds until a thick foam forms.

  5. Add espresso to a glass with ice and pour protein milk over the top.

  6. Enjoy!

Directions for hot protein coffee:

  1. Make a double shot of your favourite organic espresso

  2. Put 1/2 Cup of COLD milk into a glass with the rest of the powdered ingredients ( DO NOT use warm milk, protein will clump together)

  3. Whisk with an electric milk frother until blended well.

  4. Add protein milk to espresso.

  5. Add an extra 1/2 cup of boiling hot water to bring the temperature back up.

  6. Enjoy!
